این طراحی بر مشاهدهی دقیق و اجرای کنترلشده تکیه دارد. خط پردازیها عمدتاً نرم و لایهلایهاند و به جای خطوط تیز، از تغییر فشار مداد برای ساخت حجم استفاده شده که نشاندهندهی تسلط خوب بر تنالیته است. سایهپردازی تدریجی و جهتدار عمل کرده و فرمها را بدون شلوغی یا سیاهکاری افراطی تعریف میکند. استفادهی آگاهانه از فضای خالی کمک کرده تا تصویر نفس بکشد و تمرکز بصری حفظ شود. همچنین ریتم خطوط در بخشهای مختلف یکنواخت نیست و بهدرستی متناسب با سطوح نرم یا ساختاری تغییر کرده است.
