این اثر، نقطهٔ تلاقیِ ظرافت کلاسیک و حساسیتِ معاصر است؛ کاری که نه‌فقط رقص را نمایش می‌دهد، بلکه «حالت» رقص را به تصویر می‌کشد.نخستین امتیاز اثر، کنترل بی‌نقص بر فرمِ بدن و کشیدگی اندام‌هاست. زاویهٔ انتخاب‌شده برای بدن، پر از تنش زیباشناختی است؛ هم فشردگی دارد، هم رهایی. این «جمع‌شدگی سیال» حس سبُکی باله را به‌خوبی منتقل می‌کند.کار با پارچه‌ها، فوق‌العاده حرفه‌ای است. چین‌های لایه‌لایه و بنفش‌های شفاف، مثل دود یا مه رفتار می‌کنند و حرکتِ یخ‌زدهٔ رقص را کامل می‌کنند. ریزبینی در پرداختِ پارچه، سطح اثر را نزدیک به رئالیسم شاعرانه می‌برد.پالت رنگی محدود و هماهنگ فضای احساسی بسیار نرم و زنانه‌ای می سازد که به‌جای هیاهو، بر «سکوت» و «تمرکز» تکیه دارد. انتخاب این طیف باعث شده که نگاه بدون آشفتگی در سطح تابلو گردش کند.ترکیب‌بندی، با آن تقاطع‌های ظریف دست و پا، احساس تعلیق و شناوری ایجاد می‌کند؛ گویی بدن میان دو ضرب‌آهنگ مکث کرده. این لحظهٔ مکث، همان چیزی است که اثر را از یک صحنهٔ معمولی باله به یک تصویر ماندگار تبدیل می‌کند.اثری که هم تکنیکی قوی دارد، هم لحن شاعرانه؛ هم از رئالیسم بهره می‌گیرد، هم از لطافت خیال.از آن دسته کارهایی است که هم مخاطب عام را جذب می‌کند و هم نگاه حرفه‌ای را متوقف.
